Made to-do list. Created e-mail account. Updated blog.

Festival Theatre confirmed that they are going to give us 2 pairs of tickets in exchange for flyers.

Ate chips.

Sent out e-mails to contact list from launch.

Wednesday 17th February

Class (Christie, Ciara, Lucy, Lauren, Rachel)

Presented our ideas to Mike and discussed issues we faced with a member from another group. Collected more leaflets for distribution.


"The Social Media Bandwagon" Lecture (Carole)

Learnt lots of handy tips for executing our strategy via social media such as Facebook. Noticed different way of presenting than PowerPoint - may use for our presentation.

Tuesday 16 February

Meeting (Carole, Christie, Ciara, Lucy, Rachel)

Discussed our strategies and created powerpoint to present our ideas to Mike.

Thought about viral marketing ideas- for Youtube etc.

Saturday 13 February

Individual Work...

More Facebook messaging/wall posting. Having problems with one individual from another QMU group imitating our ideas.

Made Outlook contact list with e-mail addresses obtained at the launch.

Friday 12 February

The Launch! (Carole, Christie, Ciara, Lucy, Rachel)

The codes went live. Met at 9.30 and published the Facebook page. Al invited all of our friends. Get ourselves in our fat suits! Set up at the table at the front entrance of QMU with cakes, flyers and laptops just in time for the 10.47 train coming in.


JUST after we set up, the fire alarm went off! This worked out very well for us and we attracted a lot of attention! Security guards looked after our cakes while we waited outside. Decided to abandon laptop idea as took far too long for people to sign up.

Instead we started to collect names & e-mail addresses for people (to e-mail later) and said we would enter them into a prize draw to win a £20 bar tab. We spoke to the firemen as they came out of the building and they agreed to have a picture taken with us!
Back inside, we approached people as they came in the door and also spoke to people in the atrium and canteen. Mike agreed to sign up with us as we were the first group to campaign. Got changed and packed up at about 1pm. Checked Facebook page and noticed there was a problem with the invitations we sent so all resent them.

Wednesday 10th February

Meeting: Canteen (Carole, Christie, Ciara, Lauren, Lucy, Rachel)

Looked at logo ideas and decided to merge two of them. E-mailed people about screens - not getting very far with this. Booked table for Friday's launch. Started Facebook group. Went over plans for Friday. Not much decided.

Friday 5th February

Meeting: Canteen (Carole, Chrisite, Lucy & Ciara)

Decided on group name SunKissed and said we'd all have a think about logos. Made plans for Fridays launch (including fat suits, cake, screens, Facebook, booking tables & offering a £20 bar tab prize draw). Bought fat suits from Amazon! Appointed Lucy to communicate with DADA & Mike. E-mailed info to Rachel & Lauren.
